Privacy.
This policy explains what information Pluribus AI Inc collects across its products, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum we need to run our services, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we are
Pluribus AI Inc (“Pluribus,” “we,” “us”) is a narrative-intelligence software company. This policy covers our websites and all of our products, including the Pluribus platform, the Neighbors desktop application, and Snap, a member-polling service that organizations use to ask their own members questions. Where a specific practice applies only to one product, we say so.
Information we collect
- Account information.
- Your name and email address when you create an account. We support passwordless sign-in, so we do not store passwords for accounts that use it.
- Billing information.
- For paid products, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data and shares limited billing details with us (such as the last four digits and billing status).
- Demo and contact requests.
- The name, email, company, and any message you provide when you request a demo or contact us.
- Panel membership (Snap).
- When you join an organization’s Snap panel, we collect the contact channel you choose to be reached on — your email address, your mobile number for text messages, or your Telegram account — together with a verification of that channel and the organization that invited you. Panel members do not create accounts or passwords.
- Profile answers (Snap).
- Optional questions an organization asks when you join its panel, such as an age range or a region. These are used to break poll results down by group. Groups too small to protect individual answers are not shown.
- Poll responses (Snap).
- Your answers to the polls an organization sends you, and when you answered. The organization that runs the panel can see the individual responses and profile answers of its own members. Results that are published or shared publicly are aggregate only.
- Opted-in source identities (Neighbors).
- If you choose to contribute a social source in Neighbors, we collect identifiers for the connected account — for example, your Nextdoor user ID, handle, and avatar — together with the content you elect to contribute. This is off by default and is described below.
- Website analytics.
- Our marketing website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and usage. This may include IP-derived location, device and browser information, and pages viewed.
- Product analytics and session recordings.
- Within our products we use PostHog to understand how features are used, so we can measure and improve them. For signed-in users of our web application, PostHog also records sessions — the pages you view and how you interact with them, such as clicks, scrolling and on-screen content — so we can diagnose problems and improve the product. Anything you type into form fields is masked before it leaves your browser and is never recorded, and pages whose address contains a sign-in or password-reset link are not recorded. Recordings are kept for 30 days.
- Diagnostics and error reports.
- We use Sentry to capture crash and error diagnostics so we can keep our products reliable. We configure Sentry to not send default personally identifiable information.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create, secure, and support your account;
- process payments and manage subscriptions for paid products;
- respond to demo, sales, and support inquiries;
- send panel members the polls they signed up for, on the channel they chose, and show them results where the organization allows it;
- deliver and operate product features, including analyzing content you or your organization provides;
- monitor, debug, and improve the reliability, quality, and security of our services.
Snap panels: organizations, members, and paid questions
An organization that runs a Snap panel invites its own members and is responsible for having the right to contact them on the channels it uses. We send polls on the organization’s behalf, using the organization’s name as the sender, and we do not use a panel’s member list for any other purpose.
You can leave a panel at any time — using the unsubscribe link in any poll email, by disconnecting the Telegram bot, or by asking the organization — and leaving stops further polls from that organization. Your past responses stay in the organization’s aggregate results.
An organization may allow a third party, such as a news outlet or a sponsor, to commission a question to its panel. The organization approves every such question before it is sent. The commissioning party receives aggregate findings only; it never receives the member list, contact details, profile answers, or individual responses.
Contribution is opt-in and revocable (Neighbors)
Neighbors does not connect to any social source unless you explicitly opt in. When you do, you choose which source to contribute, and you can disconnect it at any time from within the app. Disconnecting stops further collection from that source. Locally stored credentials for a connected source are held on your own device using your operating system’s secure storage (via Electron safeStorage) and are not transmitted to us in plaintext.
Automated processing
Our products analyze content using large language models. We use Google’s Gemini models (via the Google AI/Vertex APIs) to process content for features such as summarization, classification, and narrative analysis. We do not use this content to train third-party models.
Storage and security
We store data using reputable cloud infrastructure, including Cloudflare R2 object storage. We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest. On the desktop, sensitive credentials are stored locally through your operating system’s secure keystore rather than on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
Sub-processors
We rely on a small set of vendors to operate our services. Each processes personal data only as needed to provide their service to us:
- website analytics (Google Analytics) and LLM processing (Gemini).
- PostHog
- product analytics and session recordings.
- Stripe
- payment processing for paid products.
- Sentry
- error and crash diagnostics.
- Cloudflare R2
- cloud object storage.
- Neon
- managed database hosting.
- Vercel
- application hosting.
- Resend
- email delivery, including Snap polls and verification codes.
- Telegram
- poll delivery to Snap members who choose Telegram.
What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third-party advertising networks, and we do not use it to serve you third-party ads.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your account information, or ask us to do so, by contacting us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; we honor applicable requests. You can disconnect an opted-in Neighbors source at any time from within the app. Snap panel members can leave a panel at any time as described above.
Children
Our services are not directed to children, and you must be 18 or older to create an account or join a Snap panel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
